Check-in is available starting at 3:00 PM. We offer contactless keypad entry—your personal door code is emailed on your arrival day and activates at 3:00 PM, so there's no need to stop at the front desk. Check-out is at 11:00 AM for motel rooms and 10:00 AM for mobile homes. Late check-out may be available upon request—just ask!
All of our motel rooms and mobile homes feature digital keypads for easy, keyless entry. On your arrival day, we'll email you your room or unit number along with a personal door code. The code activates at 3:00 PM—or earlier if you're approved for early check-in—so you can head straight to your room without stopping at the front desk. Choose contactless check-in when you book, and we'll handle the rest.
Yes, we allow up to 2 dogs in our dog-friendly rooms for an additional fee of $20.00 per dog, per night. Please let us know in advance if you'll be bringing your furry travel companions—availability is limited. Service animals are always welcome at no additional charge.

Absolutely! Waterway Inn is walking distance to DeVoe Beach, the North Central State Trail, and local dining. We're just 20 miles from Nub's Nob and Boyne Highlands ski resorts, 21 miles east of Petoskey and its unique downtown shopping, 28 miles north of Gaylord, and 30 miles south of Mackinaw City. Odawa Casino in Petoskey and Kewadin Casino in St. Ignace are both an easy drive.
Waterway Inn is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. If we find something after you check out, we'll make a reasonable effort to contact you. Found items are held for 30 days and can be returned at your expense. Unclaimed items will be donated or discarded.
